On March 22 Costa Rica will select its representative for Miss World 2012. Nine finalists will compete for the coveted title in the northern city of Heredia, where the famous Fortín, symbol of the city, is located.

Miss Lithuania 2011 - Ieva Gervinskaité

Miss Lithuania 2012 or locally called as Miss Lietuva 2012 pageant will take place on April 9 at the Svyturio Arena in Klaipeda. The reigning Miss Lithuania 2011 - Ieva Gervinskaité (photo above), will crown to her successor as Miss Lithuania 2012. The winner of Miss Lithuania will represent her country at Miss World 2012.

Miss World 2012 will the the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant to be held on August 18 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Jenny Claribel Blanco as Miss World Dominican Republic 2012

Jenny Claribel Blanco, 27, 1.62-m-tall, was designated as Miss World Dominican Republic 2012, and will represent her country in Miss World 2012, on August 18, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.

Because of Miss World’s date shift, the pageant organizers decided to pick a winner from a casting call to represent the Dominican Republic in Miss World 2012, and will have the actual Miss World Dominican Republic pageant happening in the month of September, with the winner competing in Miss World 2013.

Jenny participated in the Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2009 representing Valverde, and was a top 12-semi-finalist.

She was crowned during her country’s Fashion Week, in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros.

A Beauty girl from Guyana, Alana Seebarran is the new Miss India Worldwide 2012. She was crowned by Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani at the climax of a glittering gala last night in Paramaribo, Suriname. There are 35 women competed for the coveted crown of this pageant.
