House of Twitch have announced 21st of August, 2016 for the coronation night for the Miss Ideal Nigeria 2016. This year's event is done in collaboration with Oloori Julieanna Ali's Train a Nigerian Child and themed DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH. Auditions were held in 11 cities and 45 ladies were selected.
‘We are not selling a dream! We are building a future. With our partnership with Train a Nigerian child, we want to be a pageant with a difference, with the large number of pageants and crowns in Nigeria, we want to be the pageant that actively touches lives with our platform and as such we would be visiting over 30 charities this month via our queens in their immediate environment. Last year the finalists raised over 2 Million NGN (Nigerian Naira) and visited 27 charities and this year we want to do better.' Ayotunde Twitch, CEO Miss Ideal Nigeria.
The 3rd edition will be held on the 21st of August, at the Bespoke Centre in Lekki. Red Carpet starts at 5pm.
The winner of the Miss Ideal Nigeria gets a scholarship courtesy of www.besorassociates.com and represents Nigeria at Miss West Africa International amongst other prizes worth more than 2 Million NGN. The winning prize is used to start up a charity which the Queen takes with her even after she has handed over.
The 2014 Queen, Princess Adesile placed Top 10 at the Top Model of Colour in London and started the HANDS AND BASKETS foundation. She is also the CEO of Desile Pro (make up artistry) and Bellabeau. She is also the co-founder of Lagos's biggest exhibition show FASHION COOK OUT. Also, Sandra Osamor who won the 2015 edition is the CEO of Vocal Chords and Feed the Hungry campaign.
